Volume 0: Milan

Milan has always been a city of style.
But every style has its shadow.

In June 2025, we released the debut issue of Villain Magazine volume 0, an independent publication stepping into the criminal, seductive, and shadowy side of Milan between the 1960s and 1990s; from Renato Vallanzasca to tangentopoli.

This first volume blends meticulous storytelling with rare archival photographs and vintage imagery to uncover the underbelly of a city where elegance and danger walked hand in hand. From legendary heists to notorious personalities, Volume 0 brings back forgotten fragments of a noir era for  Milan: gritty, glamorous, and hauntingly real.

We created this issue for those who are drawn to what’s usually left outside the frame: the whispers behind the headlines, the atmosphere behind the myth, the beauty in the dark.
